Sorry, I was out of the loop for a few days...Congratulations!!!
that's exactly what I was talking about...congratulations!!
It does work better than your first version, well done!
But to me, still feels a bit unbalanced...I wonder, did you try to crop the music out and didn't like it?
I'd have to agree with GuptaD42, removing the vignette works, but the face, I like the first darker version better. That's the beauty of trying different things..Very strong picture. Congrats!!
I like it more...toning down the dog's head helps to blend in with the rest of the room. Still, there's something missing in the eyes.I'd try to add some catchlights, as suggested by others.
oh yes...much better!! The tiara had to be there...
well done!!! You have a very nice shot here!!
good job!!Now the silhouette is not that prominent. Looking at the reddish glow...makes me wanna see this in B&W...did you try it?
it is much better...funny that with the first version, I didn't noticed how clipped those highlights were...but now they jumped at me.Anybody else saw them?
Much better!! although you might have gone too far (to my taste) with the upper side cropping. I would have aimed to have his/her eyes right on the thirds. But that is just me.
Nice atmosphere. The hand on the glass is a nice detail (to emphasize the separation), but the whole hand would have been a GREAT detail!!There's not much I could add at this point that hasn's been said...I can wait to see your second version of it.
I see some potential in this picture (it needs some PP work though), but I feel it does not meet THIS challenge.
good job with the PP!! I think it works better now.
it does look much better!!I can also see it more closely cropped..leaving both her right ear and the phone out of the frame, although it'd take out some context.
RenPix..don't you worry...we are all learning constantly, and this type of challenges are of great help.I had a tough time deciding what the subject was here. If it was the rose, I'd probably would have move the coffe pot out of the frame, or search for a different angle with different backgroud so my subject would stand out more.
Patty Capps said it all. I think you should try her ideas too!!
two musicians in on challenge...wow!!I agree with some of the previous comments about the background..it is a bit distracting. My first try would be to crop it out, maybe try a portrait orientation leaving the music stand out...maybe add a little blur vignette...I love her earplugs!!
"On the other hand, a musician with no ear is strange ;)"
jaja..beeing a musician myself, I can tell you that I've encountered some of that kind along the way!!!
I like this picture very much. Of course, we all have our taste when it comes to PP. Me...I'd come down a bit on color saturation and clone out/darken those hands in the background
it's a very nice composition indeed! but I'm with Joe Pinapples...I think her face it's a bit too dark
