DavidsfotosDotCom: in 2011 I sent back the Panisonic due to:
1. to much shutter lag,
2. Depth gauge to small to see at a glance while free diving to 30'

? Do any of these cameras have LARGE Depth Text?

I need that so I don't black out or cause the camera to leak, especially of the 59' Nikon.
Anyone please let me know.

It's Lack of air after 2'-4' minutes of breath holding that causes a free diver to Blackout. So it doesn't mater if the depth gauge is not accurate, but It does matter for SCUBA diving. The depth text should be Full Screen & a timer with a tone alarm that the diver could set for a set for his 1/2 way time would be more convenient.

Great, Now compare to 5 or more competitors like you did with the underwater cameras.

"The previous iterations of the AW120 (the AW100 and AW110) have a bit of a bad reputation for leaking and then failing. In our testing of both the AW110 and AW120, we had zero problems."
So was the seal improved, or was the test to short & shallow to determine?

1st -The most useful part is for others to see which camera & lens was used?, so we can decide for ourselves. Please post What you used!
2nd - Depth? Colors distort more the deeper you go, without a strobe.
3rd - Where? Maybe some of us would like to go there.
4th - Whats the cost of living at your overseas site/ country in USA $'s? or __Euro__$. Some of us like to travel for months at a time to get better value for 1/2 way around the world air fare. see the BigMac cost of living index.
Thanks, A future Nikon AW1 owner?

Look who's talking, H1brid did you mean ice axes or tooth picks?
Rock climbers don't use ice picks & there has never been a glaicer on the pryramids!

H1brid (17 min ago)
Or to prevent further damage to the pyramid itself.
Imagine an army of MORONS with picks and what not climbing them.

Sill lacks f2 lens etc, see below. Lots of light loss a 25' & twice as much at 50 feet!

Direct link | Posted on Mar 22, 2013 at 23:53 UTC as 23rd comment

Why doesn't anybody make a "rugged" camera with raw capture?
(f2, Macro leds & GPS like the Pentex)? The first company that does will get lots of business. 20mm to 100mm range is better!
Or maybe it's not f2 because it has water proof ports for $777.77 underwater strobes which weigh 5 times more than the camera! A water tempature & depth loger which some cameras have would be nice. An underwater housing costs $200+ & quadruples the weight so The target price range to bet is $450 to $600 which allows for all the right stuff above. Their designers wheel of chance need more pie shaped wedges with ALL these features to land on!
Which underwater 10 meter has the bigest sensor?

Lets see, I already have 2 pro zoom lens, 1 or 2 strobe, cordes, remote triggers, spare camera batteries, filters, viewing loop, headphones, stereo mic etc strapped to my belt. So far I have gotten by without suspenders but with a 2 pound PS 8 battery I would have more weight than my free-dive lead weight belt! I would prefer to have a 1 pound or less battery!
Why not a smaller Mini Lithium ion battery see www.paulcbuff.com/vm120.php
