cherrydn: Could you guys please tell me where can I buy this lens for Nikon mount?. I'm looking around but I couldn't see any one in stock.
It will not be available until November.
The Olympus c210o IS was sort of a unique camera. A Canon made IS system coupled with a 10x zoom. I got a lot of use out of it.
For the price, the Fuji X100s should have had Image Stabilization.
Re: #4. The conventional wisdom is that you should use an 85mm equivalent for portraits. although CW is sometimes wrong.
justmeMN: "a non-camera consumer product." I know, Nikon brand guns and ammunition. (grin)

The NSA is keeping a REAL close Eye on U. :)
Interesting product in that it uses Bluetooth and doesn't require line of sight. It is small and compact enough to fit in a pocket. Too bad it can't be used to control Lv and video functions. If it could do that, it would be a Camranger killer (which costs $300).
Why don't they just fire the reporters and give the photographers "lessons" on reporting?
Gary Goodenough: While not a firmware issue, my greatest disappointment is not having a complete printed manual.
BUTm if they do not have a printed manual, they should have a better pdf, one that has hot links. Canon did this with some of their manuals.
prohidium: I have not gone to the website to look, but if you already have a gorilla pod, can you just buy the rest of it separately? Such as the suction cup set or the wheel set?
Should note that the Cameramator does not actually use the hot shoe.It simply has a hot shoe connector. Also, the Camranger has the added benefit of controlling video, making the ipad virtually a camera monitor. Thus, same money, better features. Both devices are overpriced IMHO but I do own a Camranger. They should also support non-Canon/Nikon DSMRs.
webrunner5: Oh my God! I was in a good mood before I read this result.
Steven Blackwood: I was one of those that voted for the Olympus and I don't own one. It was the one camera this year that actually looked like a new product (even with its retro styling). It just looked innovative with its fast touch focus. The "contest" between the OM d Em5 and the Canon M was quite revealing. Yes, the Canon and Nikon entries are more powerful cameras in every way. OTOH, the Nikon was actually the less practical camera because very few of their lenses can actually resolve the pixels of the 36mp sensor.I owned the 5d Mark iii for awhile and its a lovely machine but I finally got fed up with the inferior flash system that Canon utilizes.Anyway, Kudos to Olympus!
The latter. The lack of on-board flash is not in itself a problem, except it requires finding an alternative way to trigger external flashes. My main gripe is taht it just doesn't meter as well. IMO.

Mapel: It have to be in a square format? (It says minumun 600x600 max 2048x2048)
They mean 2048 on the longest side.
This contest is not going to get many entries because of the onerous rules regarding getting permission from identifiable persons in the photo."May I 'connect' with you? Yes? Well, first sign this release. It's for a contest. The prize? The grand prize is $5000. What? You want a cut if I win? Well, I guess I needn't 'connect' with you. Next?"Yeah, this contest wil get lots of entries.
Excellent choice for this scene.
This is really clever!
Mssimo: They should just send us a roll of black tape.
No, but, strangely, it will be beige.
tkbslc: So they are going through all the trouble of an IPO to raise 5 Billion and they blow 1 billion on Instagram already?
Does Instagram even have a revenue stream?
Good question. How is this going to make money for FB?
Peter Nelson: With the advent and advances in m4/3 I have to say that I am not interested in another FF Pro DSLR fror anyone. I have two (2) FF DSLR's, a Canon 1DsMkII and an older Kodak SLR/n FF. I have an even older Nikon D1H Pro Camera as well. I like the IQ from all three. But, I am tired of the weight and size. When are Nikon and Canon going to realize that the day's of these large cameras are over due to advances in electronics and sensor's.
Nothing wrong with the mirror less format. (They have to change the name. Calling something by what they DON'T have seems silly)However, the IQ doesn't and likely never will compare to the larger sensors. At some point they may have FF in a smaller package but the lenses will always be large. The size of the bodies serve partly to balance that factor.
