Hi,I have 5 days left on my NX1's 30-day trail. Has the NX1 held up for you over the months? No glitches, surprises, malfunctions? I feel like with Samsung discontinuing it, I'll be on my own with the NX1.
Sports Dad: DPReview needs to update their review. The current one is obsolete.
15 FPS while focusing now better than before. It truly is much improved over something that was already good.
For $1297 (Amazon) there is nothing close to this full-featured wonder. Real-life IQ is as good as any APS-C camera, and for practical use IQ rivals FF cameras like the A7 and A7ii. It also has 4K video unlike any APS-C camera, 120 FPS 1080p video while focusing, 15 FPS, and more. Now it has IBIS for video that works with any lens as well as in conjunction with in-lies IBIS.Say what you want, but for the price, nothing on the market competes with it. btw, low light video is exceptional IF you turn down the over aggressive NR and sharpening (it gets ugly if you don't). Plus with IBIS those inexpensive F/1.4 and F/1.2 legacy lenses can be used handheld. :)

davidpuu: Having been a Canon advocate, CPS member and imaging pioneer using their and other's tech, it was a huge deal for me to change systems. I could never be anti-Canon, but after using the NX1 in a variety of production scenarios from commercial stills to motion picture, I cannot ever see myself returning to my Canon system. I still have the complete Canon System including super teles.
But I find myself using it less and less with each firmware update for this remarkable 1300.00 camera body.
I connected the Body online today. Selected firmware update. New camera.
This presents a huge challenge to Camera MFGs who rely on purchases of new bodies to perpetuate their business models.
We benefit though.
Not much downside that I can see at this point. Between the NX1 and GoPro 4 and a couple mics, field recording solutions, I can do most of what I want and need to do in a VERY small form factor for travel work.
Might I suggest having another voting category for best camera, i.e. Which DSLR shoots the best video?
