There are more to sensors than the megapixels.

Why not 550D-Sp3

I wish they finally give up if they cannot play in sensor game.

They have good bodies and good software. The outdated sensor ruins all that.

The sensor is the same outdated one which is 2-3 years behind competition (D5200 and even D3200).

Oh, you should buy a $200 dongle I assume! (while my <$100 and < 100 grams phone has both Wifi and 3G)

And add one more button in addition to that customizable one which is located very oddly (i.e. for ISO and WB).

Quality wise this is better (considerably).

I would not buy NEX over this. It is not that smaller (included with lens) and it has minimal controls on the body which is frustrating.

As an electronics engineer I see a very complicated and carefully designed machine in the photo.

DSLRs are big because they use big lenses and big sensors. It is a physical fact that bigger lenses and sensors will be better than smaller ones.

You cannot change physics rules.

If you like in-body stabilization, Sony DSLRs might be good too (A580?).

As if it is too big and cannot be accommodated inside! Even cheap and small phones have Wifi nowadays.

It is just a trap to get more money, even at the cost of discomfort for customers.
