  • Created discussions iMac going slow - post removed
Decided to withdraw this post but system wouldn't let me do it the easy way.
  • Looks like it can't handle Fuji RAF files. Typical Corel, always slow in updating. Had the original After Shot Pro some years ago and then they pulled the plug on it and demanded money for all ...
  • Sorry, I forgot to mention that I had Mavericks already installed on an external drive. So I started up my iMac using this which then enabled me to erase and format the main drive in the computer. ...
  • This is your one chance to clear out any rubbish on your hard drive or existing OS so I would go for a clean install. It may take longer but I reckon its worth it. My cloned setup on my fusion ...
  • My take on in-camera noise reduction is that reducing it will marginally increase sharpness. I reduced in-camera sharpness to -2 because I like to use software to sharpen. In the event I found ...
  • Got this lens with an XE1 for £389 special offer. First lens was very soft down left hand side. Replacement lens was OK as in sharp enough but can't quite match my Pany 14-45 on my E-M5. Still ...

  • Was looking at the iPads email setup and found that you have a choice of IMAP or POP3. Found I had clicked on IMAP. When I clicked on POP3 everything fell into place and emails are now coming ...
  • I use Lyn and also run iPhoto but Lyn gives a better display of Exif info.
  • I have a similar problem with my iMac after it has been inactive for a while. Found the best way round it is to click on the WiFi icon on top right of the screen and click on Turn WiFi off, wait a ...
  • My Mid 2010 machine which has recently been upgraded with a 1Tb fusion drive seemed to be slow to respond when you clicked on something. Somewhat disappointing to say the least. Trawled the ...
  • Used to use FastStone with Windows but now use Lyn on my iMac. Cost me £15 or so but there are very few free photo viewer programs for Mountain Lion etc. Very silly name for a program but it does ...
