NK777: Very good stylish strong design, good sensor (likely), 700$ -- too expensive, but after half year may by down to 500$.
YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT THE NEW M9 AND TWO LENSES OF YOUR CHOICE. NOW THAT WOULD BE CLASSY.
arhmatic: Funny to see dpreview having the side by side with Sony nex 7. But in my mind there is no contest. Clear win by Sony. And it's hard to understand what takes so long to came up with a decent mirrorless enthusiast camera that does not look like a toy.
Sony nex 7 it is, still. Panasonic just cannot compete.
I HAVE THE GF1 AND ENJOY IT. BUT THEN THE GF2 AND GF3. WHAT NO GF4 ? SOUNDS LIKE THEY HAVE TOO MANY CAMERAS AND NOW THE GX1 IN 2011. AND COME JAN. THE NEW GX2 WILL BE OUT . SOMETHING SEEMS FUNNY HERE. THE LAST GOOD ONE WAS THE GF1. AFTER THAT ONE THEY WENT DOWN HILL FAST. TOO BAD ,NOW I'AM OFF TO TRY SONY NEX 7 AND THE A77.
zodiacfml: No 20mm 1.7 with the camera? I thought this was for the GF1 crowd? I should have bought the GF1 before. getting the 20mm now is costly.
I GOT ABOUT THE LAST GF1 WITH THE 20MM ON AMAZON. NOW JUST TRY AND BUY A NEW ONE AND SEE WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT FOR THEM. NEAR TWICE AS MUCH AS MOST OF US PAID. I LOVE MY GF1 BUT IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON TO NEW CAMERAS LIKE THE SONY NEX 7 OR THE A77. IT'S ALL PERSONAL WHAT YOU LIKE NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE. ENJOY WHAT EVER NEW TOY YOU BUY AND GOOD SHOOTING.
WE CAN WAIT FOR OUR NEW CAMERAS. ITS THE PEOPLES LIVES THAT ARE MORE IMPORTANT AND THEIR JOBS AND HOMES. I WILL BE HERE WAITING FOR THE NEXT SHIPMENT. WHEN EVER THAT MAY BE . MAY ALL THAT ARE SUFFERING FIND PEACE AND SAFETY.
Eric Glam: My disappointments with the NEX-7:
1. No clean HDMI-out. When connected to an HDTV, it displays all the menus along with the video feed, and the resolution is not 1920x1080, but less.
2. No touch-screen LCD. The NEX-5N has a touch screen, why not the NEX-7?
I know it has 3 dials, which is great, but why not add the touch capability as well?
I know a lot of folks who love using touch-focus, and it's missing here.
3. The screen only tilts up and down, like on the NEX-5 and NEX-5N. I really wanted a hinge mechanism just like the one on the A77.
4. Anyone here know how many focus points the NEX-7 is supposed to have?
And how many of those are cross-type?
Sony gladly mentions this on the A77 and A65, but no word what-so-ever of this feature on the NEX cams.
NOW THIS IS WHY OLYMPUS & LUMIX HAS TOUTCH SCREENS SO THOES THAT WANT THEM CAN BUY THEIRS. I FOR ONE AM OLD SCHOOL. IF ALL WERE THE SAME WE WOULD HAVE A REAL PROBLEM THEN. SO FAR FROM WHAT I SEE I WANT A NEX 7. TIME WILL TELL.
AT MY AGE BY THE TIME I CAN SAVE THE MONEY I''LL BE DEAD. IF I WAS YOUNGER AND HAD MONEY THIS WOULD BE THE CAMERA OF MY DREAMS.
