On The Unknown in the Unknown Object challenge (3 comments in total)

Looks like some old mining equipment, a dredge perhaps or sluice.

DQ because I entered a big cat when there is no mention in the challenge about wanting domestic cats only. Play fair or get the challenge right before you open it.

On Mountain Sound (Song Meaning) challenge (2 comments in total)

I don't know about the image I am looking for but that's a cool piece of music even for an old guy like me.

Challenge stated minor edit only and add border and title. Why are there so many images here that are obviously HDR and others without border or title. Apply the rules, both in submitting and hosting.

On Houston, Texas challenge (10 comments in total)

I can vote on the image quality but wouldn't have a clue if it was in Houston. After seeing the same image in another more recent challenge for Galveston I have withdrawn from voting in any of these challenges.

Athena28: As a vegan, this sight is horrible for me to see. They are not 'handbags', and should never be farmed for handbags or meat. They are here for their own purposes, not to be exploited by humans. They are magnificent creatures, capable of pain and suffering like you and I, or any other being on this planet. What an awful title, and such disrespect for such a fine animal :-(

Athena28,
The title came from the guide on our tour of the "farm". Just like cows, and poultry these creatures are used as a domestic product. The fact that the fashion industry pays $1000AU for a quality skin enables the farm to support the associated park area.
I respect your vegan views however this is a comercial business, just like any other.
