Scott Greiff: I'll never buy a phone from a Chinese manufacturer.

Apple assembles the phone in China, but they are not a Chinese manufacturer. I trust Apple, I don't trust Chinese companies governed by China.

Scott Greiff: Who needs innovative products when you can just tell stories?

Honestly, my comment's intention was to slam Canon. That said, I see how you can say that Canon is trying to say that it's not about the camera, that it's about the stories people create with the camera. That's swell and all, but this message, coming from a camera manufacturer who is arguably behind the times, rings as a bit tone-deaf.

Every Tom, Dick & Harry Technology company sees the impossible. The exceptional ones make it happen.

A review of another Samsung camera, but still no Sigma review since the release of the SD1 two years ago?

I love throwing these releases to my Canon buddy patiently awaiting a 7D rev.

facedodge: looks like they are the same lens, but with a built in extender.

Why the heck not? It's better than waiting for them to redesign the entire optical path just to suit two new cameras that just hit the market.

Mikhail Tal: DPR Why are you wasting time reviewing these ridiculous underwater cameras, they are toys for kids and nothing more, anyone who wants real underwater photos will get a housing for their real camera.

Because if they review cameras that would rock their world (Sigma DP Merrills, for instance), they would alienate a large segment of their audience. And upset Amazon.

It's also amazing how waves take better photographs than you can!

But you have still to review any of the Sigma DP Merrill cameras...

I have no rights to privacy, I admit. But I don't have to engage with you if I choose. I'm not being childish, I just don't like what you're doing and I'll vote with my feet. Wear your glasses. I just think it's creepy and invasive.

At $4.99 a piece to add "functionality" to your camera, "Shaft" is indeed appropriate.

I can imagine giving this to my wife as a companion to her iPhone. But the lack of flash could be a deal breaker...
