Kostas Budapest: I can see a contradiction in many comments. Many write that D3s is a fantastic camera dispite the 12 mp but the 22 mp of 5D mark III are not enough. Personally I find all this discussion meaningless, the cameras are very similar, the one is faster and with better low light performance and the other has bigger resolution. But most of the time noone will notice any difference. And I am almost sure that the flagships of Nikon and Canon, the D4 and 1DX are almost identical. I own DSLRs from both and I think that the last 2 years they reached saturation, they can not provide something radically new that gives to one or the other the clear advantage.
yes there is no diff btw Mercedes & VW in cars or the most luxurious Rolex vs the cheapest digital plastic strap casio watches except in some ppl's minds 3mp is very close to 36mp (when you downsize both to QVGA).
when 5D1 was announced the highest APSC had a 6MP vs 12MP for 5D1when 5D2 was announced the highest APSC had a 15MP vs 21MP for 5D2when 5D3 was announced the highest APSC had a 24MP vs 22MP for 5D3no comment!!!
just consider them added "moons" to your pix. don't we sometimes cheat and add a false moon by PP and then call that beauty?! how kind is Fuji to save us the effort & embarrassment of such false additions. and don't complain that you get multiple moons, most of the other planets apart from Earth have many moons. the FW was meant as a damage control, so that few more units can be sold b4 the camera is discontinued, and to shut the mouth of every complainer about the issue, that there has been FW solution to it.
SDPharm: OM-D E-M5, the worst name, ever.
OK, EOS is the system & EF is the mount not a huge diff betw the 2 in a context like the one where i mentioned it, so let's not be this pedantic! your suggestion that a name like OM-D E-M5 is as easy & simple as EOS models' names is the biggest mistake here.
T3 wrote: "It's actually not really any different than, say, EOS 1DX. The "OM-D" is equivalent to "EOS"." ... No there is some diff EOS is a mount name it applies to ALL film and digital FF & APS Canon SLRs with that mount, thus EOS is comparable with MFT. Pen & OMD are 2 Oly ranges within MFT, and Oly names are a ltl bit confusing specially when branding some lenses as OMD while they can be mounted on non-OMD MFT bodies. Olympus should have dropped the "E" --which stands for "Evolte"-- starting from their first MFT body, EP1 should have been called simply P1 and EM5 simply OMD1 or OMD5. but Oly marketing seem to think that having too many names & identities for the same camera (Evolte, OMD and MFT) can be helpful to their purposes somehow. finding a better sensor maker than Pany would be much more helpful IMNSHO.
