On Differentiation in the One Yellow Leaf challenge (2 comments in total)

Thanks Steve, a tree next to my mountain home drops it's dead leaf on the porch. There were hundreds of brown ones and only few in yellow!

That's a treasure of photographs. have you considered revisiting those places now and try to capture the same picture of each of those beautiful slides?
any idea on the camera your grandpas used during their trip?

In reply to:

Rodrigue Zahr: Thanks for voting everyone! Really appreciate it:-)

Actually, this is the typical lebanese coffee, some calls it turkish coffee but it's not the same. what you see here is the mousse phase of the early boiling process, seconds later, the mousse would disappear inside the dark liquid, a sign that the coffee is ready. We allow it to rest for a couple of minutes to allow coffee particles to rest on the button of the container then we serve. easy, give it a try, you only need 5 tea spoons of arabic coffee in a container similar in size of the one in the picture. :-)

On Editorial: Why I can't stop taking iPhone Panoramas article (300 comments in total)

Excellent review. Thanks a lot Barney.
Me too, I'm considering upgrading my iPhone 5 to the new 5S so I can use it as my travel camera when in LA next week. I got a DSLR and wanted a smaller camera for the vacation trip, had many compacts in mind but now I'm thinking that instead of buying a compact I better get the 5S.

me on the other hand, I have the clearest skies but also mountains, so looking for a moonrise will also be somewhere above a mountain peak which makes planning for such a shot almost impossible!
