I had a "rattle" and it turned out to be a loose front element.  Simple job to re-tighten it.

I use shutter priority for props, and aperture set at the maximum in the case of the 70-400 for jets. In that way all you have to do is to change modes, much quicker and less prone to mistakes.Rob
