  • Lovely! I really like the third, it has great drama and atmosphere. I'm going for a nights wild camping on Sunday in Scotland and hope that the winds aren't as strong, but the light as good! Pete
  • I totally agree with you Tim, paranoia seems to abound!  And sadly, similarly I can't view the photos as they've gone... I'd like to though! Pete

Here are two quite different photos of the the last of the days' sun, one Stockholm (what an ace city!) in July 2014, and one looking West near Gruinard, Scotland, taken yesterday! Pete Cult Evenin ...
  • Hi Rodrique, apologies for the big delay, I've had a hectic few days... Thank you for posting a B&W version - I totally agree with you, much of the drama is lost. Your colour ones remains sublime! Pete
  • Stunning; the drama in that sky is amazing; I love big cloudscapes like that, and when set against a cityscape like that, giving a sense of scale, the drama looks intense. Have you tried a B&W ...
  • Simply stunning in terms of composure and lighting and subject etc etc... how do you do it?! Pete

Thank you John, Josh and Tony... I've made a few contrast changes, as you suggested, and wonder what you think... Pete
  • I love the mood of the B&W conversion. There is so much going on in that sky, and I like the composition that makes the sky the focus - and to me that is an amazing sky!  I'd like to see a bigger ...
  • I really like these, especially the first and the third... the guy in the third looks like he should be menacing but his smile looks so genuine and welcoming, if that makes sense. Pete

I seem to be playing a minority sport using Leica for landscape work.  Her's one from last weekend in very flat grey conditions taken on Loch Awe, Scotland. C&C very welcome. Thanks Peter
  • I especially really like the last one, it sucks you in through the sea, sucks you up at the horizon and then the sky spits you out... and it's all greyish... ace!
  • I especially love number 2, it's ace. Pete
  • Where are you landing/based? If Manchester you can get near mountains, if London I suspect the coast will be your best bet; if Glasgow/Edinburgh then you have loads of choice...
  • You've taken some superb photos there; ace!  And it's lead me to your blog which is good too. Thank you! Pete
  • ... when i saw that the word that came into my head was "lovely"; then I thought I should think about it and post a more analytical comment, but after looking at your photograph I just came up ...
  • I would recommend you get one that is adaptable - I have the arca swiss bracket that is adaptable to fit most cameras; I have issues with camera specific brackets in that you move on with your ...

Lovely - when I saw the title I thought "oh no, another cliche"! But how wrong to pre-judge anything.  Your photo is a very interesting, well balanced and well composed photo - thank you for ...
  • I don't know but surely the Leica lens means 'yes'; get it in!
  • Superb image and congratulations, ace stuff! Pete
