  • Replied in what subject?
What subject is it? a parrot nailed to a perch does not need high iso or high shutter speed.
  • 2005: tony blair, george dubya, and the fz30 reigned supreme. 8 megapixels was the ultimate.lol.
  • biggest difference is the monitor. lightroom runs much faster on a good desktop as well.
  • Thanks Guido, will watch it closely. still sceptical they can overcome the laws of physics.
  • Lightroom is sluggish on my fast windows laptops, particularly zooming in on pic. for some reason it just seems to hang for several seconds. It is not exactly fast on my high end desktop either. ...
  • Apple, Apple, Apple. Number one for five years. The article mentions 'if you can afford it' apple is best. but are they really that expensive? A Windows machine with the same high quality specs ...
  • 200% is worse. What i'm saying is if the browser tries to upscale any 800x600 image it will wreck the photo. there is no upscaling needed  for browsing my my 1920 x1200 monitor, i view at 100%, ...

  • Replied in samples
ive processed some samples using battery power as i would in the field, not sure of the brightness level or how they will look online but here they are resized to 900 pixels :
  • made no difference using metro app, it just gobbled up a massive amount of screen space. image quality is the same.
  • i'm using IE11.
  • IE and Chrome same effect. changing scaling to 150% improves the image quality still not as good as the desktop monitor. downside is text is now barely readable. doh!
  • Don't have any software atm, just browsing the web with it. Its the display of web images that is the problem atm. Pics here at dpreview  that look fine on my desktop (1920x1200) look terrible on ...
  • thanks did have a look at settings, scaling is set to 200% default, 'auto' switching between video card and onboard graphics. Calibration of the screen made a small difference to the colour. I'm ...
  • Created discussions lenovo 3K screen
so i get this new fangled lenovo 540P 15" screen, 3k 2880x1620 display IPS, anti glare. Text looks clear and sharp, but photos web browsing  look like rubbish, -fuzzy like a cheap and nasty 1336 x ...
