If I were you, I'd opt for the m.Zuiko 40-150.It's light-weight, really cheap and provides an outstanding IQ - not only for the money it costs. And there's an additional advantage: Should you plan...

Why in heaven should somebody want the on-senso PDAF in an Olympus MILC? No, thank you very much-
My E-M5 already C-AFs more reliable than my E-5/E-30 did/does and the E-P5 apparently acelerates...

This reminds me of last year. I had registred at Lytro as I really was keen on trying out the new concept. Then I got a mail that the cam finally was on sale and that I could order with immerdiate...
-
As landscape is the task, you arguably won't be ready to do without two millimetres at the short end, will you? Shoul this be a wrong assumption, I'd recommend the 14-54 MKII. It also is a lovely...
-
How many details more do you need? Has it to go to the sub-atomic level? ;-)
I mean really: I was more than happy with the 12MPs of my E-30 and E-5 and the 16MPs of my E-M5 are more than enough for...

Well PerL, I think I put exactly the amount of substance into my replay your comment deserved.

Hi trevor,
As I see it, the point is, that Olympus equip all their mFT cameras with best and latest sensor available - and Panny don't. I can fully understand that some people are annoyed by these...
-
Well, I can't sto me starĂng a second chapter - and if only for answering to this comment of Perl:
"With m43 you get CDAF, EVF and deep DOF. For sports you want PDAF, OVF and short DOF. That is the...
-
Well, some of the pics wetre shot with the D2 at f 5.6 - meaning the same DOF as with an FT/,FT camera at f2.8 - and the others with the D700 that is equipped with a DX sensor that features a DPF...
-
Thanks for showing them, Brian!
-
Well, Julie, I'm afraid I have to disagree, here. Maybe the older Oly cameras forced you to zoom out or stop down for a deeper DOF, but this defentitely wasn't the case when I entered FT in 2009...
-
I have to say it again: The E-M5 - and as far as I know the GH3 too - equipped with the right lenses definitely AFs clearly faster and C-AFs massively faster and mor precise than the G5.
as pro,...
-
Well, as said: the G5 is the G5 but not 'the mirrorless technolgy'. As you know well from you 30 years as pro, there can be massive diifferences between certain cameras, EVFs and lenses of the same...

Please note that I'm German. Apparently, I chose the wrong word and should have opted for sceptics.Sorry for this mistake.
I'm far from thinking that. I'm just tired of people claiming that...
-
;-) They were - there was a photographers' hole in the fence.
-
Well, as I see it, slow-ish erratic movements represent a challenge for the photographer who has to succeed in keeping the AF field on his subject. The C-AF, however, won't have any problems in...
-
Well, I don't quite understand why anybody can have problems with shooting football - or as the US users say - soccer, with the E-M5.
Okay, the tracking is rather useless (it wasn't with firmware...
-
Well should the tracking be really able to do this, this would be great news.
The tracking of the E-M5 was usable solely with firmware 1.2. since the upgrade to 1.5 it even isn't able to properly...

Nonsense.
Nonsense.
Nonsense. I've demonstrated the opposite countless times.
Yeah, why should we keep on discussing these wrong claims if pictures have demonstrated them to be wrong again...
