  • I have the EX100 but I think the interface is similar.  On mine I have assigned the up down scroll wheel buttons to select burst mode - stops having to dig through the menu... - Helmut
  • Yep they were all a hairy bunch :-) I only took shots the first few minutes - after that I was up dancing with everyone else!
  • Thanks Tim...yep great cam - unfortunately probably the last of its kind since I very much doubt that there will be any new 1/1.7" sensor cameras in future - now that everyone's naking 1" sensor ...
  • Created discussion thread EX-100 goes to the concert...Cat Empire
Apart from the fact that this was an AMAZING concert, the pictures from this little EX-100 are equally on par (IMHO)...all taken from my seat about halfway up the theater.
  • Cool - that's also the one I'm interested in.  I'm wondering about how it performs for video  (eg zoom noise, image stability, focus hunting etc.) - since obviously it must be not as good for ...
  • Great shot! Was that with the 10-100 PD-Zoom (the bigger one) or the standard 10-100? If the non PD-Zoom - have you used it for video?  Is the zoom noise noticeable? -Thx Helmut
  • Nice shot Erik...but doesn't really look all-in-focus to me...
  • Hi Phil, Yep that's fine with me if the startrails are done like that.  Saves me some processing on tge PC because I currently do this manually with an intervalometer and stacking software.  I've ...
  • Yep I agree - I do really hope they manage though - kinda got my heart set on this ultra wide camera now...
  • Yes sorry I should have been more specific...
  • Thank-you very much!  That sounds excellent.  By "light trail" I wonder if they also mean "star trail"...would be great if they did, since the ultra wide angle would be very well suited to star ...
  • Created discussion thread DL18-50 CRT setting...
...does anyone know what this is? Cheers - Helmut
  • Well that's good! That'll give me time to save up :-)

  • Hi Cyril - no both panorama and time lapse are excellent.
  • Thanks pK - yeah I'll have to do that for now...anyway I suppose once you know about it you can adjust for it a bit...zooming out should be ok...
  • Created discussion thread EX-100 Achilles Heal...
I've you've trawled around this forum, you've probably seen some entries with me singing praises of the photographic capabilities of my EX-100 - and this is certainly still the case. Unfortunately, ...
  • Created discussion thread Why can't we be the size of elephants??
I've often thought how unfortunate it is that we happened to have evolved to be the size that we are, leading to the endless discussions about size vs quality trade-offs of our cameras! Imagine if ...
  • Thanks for the comments Duke - much appreciated!  Yes you interpreted that spot on - the slight underexposure was intentional - I took the shot with -0.3EV...makes the day seem closer to the end...
  • Well that's more or less the Sony RX10. Constant F2.8 24-200.  You could get to about 300 cropped to 12MP (equiv. to Stylus 1)  It's definitely bigger, but not really a monster. I own the Casio ...
  • Well cross my fingers - I'm honestly really just wondering! I love my EX100 heaps...but you know...if they could just bring the wide angle out to 24mm :-)
