  • Commented on Canon EOS 7D Mark II Review preview

Angela Nicholson over at digitalcamerworld brought up a good point about the lack of Wi-Fi. She said that in order to solve what Canon claims is the issue of trying to stick the Wi-Fi antenna in...

  • I'm wondering why Sony has never considered offering an A6000 kit with the 18-105 G lens. It seems like a lot of people would buy it. If it were me, I would offer the kit for $999 US on sale from ...

Rishi - While technically you're correct, the big problem you run into with that argument is that 90% of photography these days is not displayed in a medium where the differences in DR between...

It really all comes down to color performance. A photo can be technically good in terms of detail retention, dynamic range, and noise but if the colors aren't right then that almost cancels out any...

  • As with the original A7, from a technical standpoint, I think they're okay. But just like its predecessor, I really find myself unimpressed with these photos thus far on the basis of how color and...

  • My Dad has an SX510 HS and likes it. The image quality is about the best I've seen from a camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. I was actually disappointed that Canon stopped using it and uses a 16MP ...
  • I tried to snag another one to give as a gift to a family member and it appears it is no longer in stock. Disappointed but happy that a number of folks got to get their hands on this camera at a ...
  • $519 is about what I paid for mine. I don't know if I would pay full MSRP but if it's in the $500 neighborhood, it's worth it.
  • Perhaps this is inappropriate...but I have to ask. Were you guys tempted to put some of those struggling salmon out of their misery by taking some and throwing them on the grill later on?

  • What were you expecting? Some sort of song and dance routine involving the camera?

  • I'm sure some folks know this already but for those that are not aware, make sure that if you see a good deal on say, a Nikon D3300 with a two lens kit, to check and see if the 55-200 lens is the VR ...
  • I get what he's trying to say actually. Some cameras, while not having the best specifications, have a certain something about them which makes the enjoyable to shoot with. It is, however,...

  • You are putting 2 and 2 together and getting 22.

  • It looks like a great camera. A lot more photographic firepower than I would ever need. It would be nice, however, if Canon was to release a weather-sealed lens for APS-C to go along with this...

  • I recently added the Stylus 1 to my camera stable after finding a gently used floor model at a good price. Even though I know its small sensor won't win awards for image quality (it still is very ...
  • XZ2 is a great deal at those prices and you get a lot of camera for your money. However, compared with Fuji's auto modes (which are the best, IMO) the Auto mode on the XZ-2 isn't all that great. I ...

No I actually respect Sony as a camera company and think they put out some great stuff these days. They've come a long way. The RX100 series in particular is something they deserve a ton of credit...

  • Replied in Nikon P7700
Nikon P7700 is a good choice. It's not the fastest camera around but it has a good sharp 18-200 F2-F4 lens and decent 1/1.7" Sony sensor. If you shop around, you can get it for $250-$300.

But what's your personal experience with the camera?
