  • Word is it has a new lens design which will allow faster focusing. New sensor, Wi-Fi and touch screen. Supposedly a newer grip design. What I'm hoping for is the ability to zoom in on RAW images on ...
  • Now I want cheesecake. Great photos!
  • V2 won't have much better video than a V1. Slightly sharper but that's about it. For the low light stuff I strongly recommend something with a bright aperture at the wide end. Sony RX100 I, II ...
  • Thanks all. I wasn't sure what scenes I'd convert to slow-mo so everything was shot at 60p at 1/120 fps shutter speed. I left the ISO on auto. If I had shot the dancing at 24p and 1/50 fps, the ...
  • Created discussions RX100M3 for a Wedding
Just wanted to share a fun video I put together using footage from my new little Sony. I'm amazed at the quality of this point-and-shoot and the details you can pull from the XAVC-S codec. ...
  • Photographer's Rule #2: Use an upcoming important trip as an excuse to the wife to buy a new camera.
  • TheCameraStoreTV did a YouTube video comparing the RX100M3 and the GM1. That might be worth a watch.
  • Next iteration will probably have a higher mega pixel count. Faster processor. Maybe PDAF if we're lucky. If they made the lens faster without increasing camera thickness (curved sensor?) then ...
  • Created discussions A couple eBay buying tips...
Don't dismiss 'as is' items. Read the descriptions and you may find a camera that the seller thinks is broken but is actually 100% fully functional. I placed a $1 bid on an 'as is' Fuji Instax ...
  • Maybe a corrupted memory card? SanDisk and Lexar offer file recovery software with their cards. There are probably other free programs you could use. Sorry to hear about this.
  • Try each and compare on your big screen. MP4 might be good enough for you. 50p will give you a smoother "home video" look and you can always convert to 25p and even slow down footage 50%. XAVC if ...
  • You're shooting at 120p. Try 60, 30 or 24p.
  • Anyone with small kids will understand their J5 preview video.
  • J1 and 10mm was my take everywhere combo but I sold them to a coworker. After he showed me some video of his son I regretted not having a quality pocket video cam. Looked on eBay for an RX100 and ...
  • My V1, AW1 and lenses have become sort of a specialized use only kit... The zoo, travel, rough weather. My GR has become my main camera that I take everywhere and I've grown to love 28mm the most ...
  • Agreed. I think the only time I've stopped it down was for this comparison.
  • Created discussions Nikkor 18.5mm Versus
I've been shooting with a V1 and a GR for a while now. Added an RX100M3 for just over $300 off eBay (I don't think the seller knew what he was selling). I figured I'd do a quick comparison for fun ...
  • I've been using the GR for some time now and I got an RX100M3 in the mail today. I've been playing with it for hours and they are totally different cameras. They're both keepers. GR is the better ...
  • I've never done long exposures of water, but I'd guess the ripples generally follow a pattern more or less. An ocean tide would be smoother.
  • Running with any camera is fine. Lookup 'spibelt'. It's an awesome way to carry a small camera, gadget, keys etc. Prevents any bouncing and should keep it dry from sweat.
