Not my experience. I shoot with a 5D. Yes, it is not as sharp as the 85 1.8 or the 70-200 f4, but quite sharp enough, especially if you stop down to, say, 2.2 or smaller.Ed

Nice, quick lens. Post processing enhances contrast, sharpness, etc. The field of view gives photos context; forced me to shoot in a new style, which I enjoy very much.Ed
