  • So I figured out if  I set a button to manually zoom focus and click it a couple of times so there  is no zoom, only the orange box in the center of the display I can then focus and my camera does ...

I like the transportation for the wedding entourage.... And right on about the Virginia mountains... Shenandoah Valley:
  • Great buffalo shot.
  • Nope.  I recently had a situation where it did not zoom while manually focusing... But as soon as I turned the camera off and on again all worked as expected.   I half-liked working the focus ...
  • Ha! Good one... Your recommended comment likely will end up with either more expensive restaurants or frozen dinners, neither of of which would be my desired outcome. :-) She is a great cook, BTW, ...
  • Thanks for the tips.  I am a novice at portraits as mentioned in my original post.  No intent to buy a bunch of portrait enhancing equipment (though thanks for the tips in case I change my mind). ...
  • A month ago I used the RX1 for some portraits of my wife and her girlfriend by the lake to be used in some charity event material.  While eating dinner with my wife this weekend she mentions all ...

  • Thanks Bill. That separation that is achieved at a distance is very impressive. This is definitely the look I would like to achieve so very good examples.
  • Nice.  Thanks for this!
