Yes, good point. Hard to have a 0x optical zoom. :)So in the XZ-10 case, it's 26mm (wide angle) @ 1x and 130mm @ 5x maximum zoom. Funny, I'm curious to go check the XZ-10 now because I swore they...

Sure, I should be able to get those for you. For the XZ-10, I'm not sure what you mean by "wide angle" -- as WA and Normal are the same. There's just an optical zoom of 5x. So, a chart would be...

Sean, in truth, I'm already liking the XZ-10. I haven't seen anything (in IQ) that would make me not recommend one. It's a fun, tiny camera. I think the size will be a huge factor in this...

I was so quick to post these, I didn't even realize the XZ-10 image was using 3200 ISO. Wow. That was in AUTO mode too. Kind of interesting the differences between the XZ-2 and XZ-10 with...

Sure this won't be a problem. The weather looks to be good for the weekend -- it's been terrible this past week -- so will definitely get more pictures.

Yes, I the AF is fine -- it's probably just a fraction slower than the XZ-2. I usually use AUTO with S-AF and so when I first reported the AF seemed slower, I had forgotten to set it up with my...

Did a quick low-light test. I'm not sure how the XZ-2 managed ISO 400 but it took forever to get a clean shot. Not sure why but it was very difficult to get a focused shot on the XZ-2. The XZ-10...

Interesting. IMHO, with NR OFF on the XZ-10 the samples look worse. The XZ-2 however, I don't see much difference. At least, not nearly as much as the XZ-10.
-
Yep Jim, I agree. The higher detail is there on the XZ-2 but only if you really look for it. Promise to get some better subject matter this weekend. Looks like we have a nice weekend in store...

I will reproduce the same shots with the NR off today. I'll update the thread later tonight.
-
Yep, the NR settings are OFF, Low, Standard, High (if I recall from memory.)

Yep it comes with the XZ-10.http://olympus-imaging.jp/product/software/olympus_viewer3/index.html(Use Chrome to translate)

Okay here are three samples. These were taken in somewhat of a hurry so they weren't staged well. The subject matter isn't great either. Will get better captures later this weekend when I get...

Physical Comparison:(XZ-10, XZ-2, E-PL1)

Hi All,I received my new XZ-10 this morning. It is indeed very small. It's the perfect size for a pocket camera. Its rubber grip has a sticky feel to it -- which is reassuring for a solid grip....

Have you tried using the updater software? The JP Olympus site claims that version 1.1 was released on 12/18/2012Fixes:I fixed the image processing ISO bracket shooting.

Interesting. My white XZ-2 has firmware version 1.1 installed. What site are you referring to? The UK site doesn't even show a XZ-2 support page as yet.
-
Out of curiosity what firmware version do your cameras have that reproduce the problem?

Very nice pictures! Just love that pool shot. Wish I was there now. Cold and rainy here. :(
