Placed 8th in the challenge. Golden Nights WOW the crowd with their Tandem Parachuting skills at a US Airshow. They didn't break formation until almost on the ground and both landed very smoothly.

Placed 54th in the challenge. Of the many different Tulip displays found in Holland MI each May, this particular row had some of the best color and texture.

Placed 1st in the challenge. This was an amazing gas fed fire front demonstration. You could feel the intense heat from more than 100 feet away. Like being close to a barbeque pit full of Scorching Hot coals.

Placed 11th in the challenge. Image is of the exhaust pipes and flowing fenders on a Classic 1931 Duesenburg Model "J". After trying several different angles to show off the beauty of individual shiny segmented exhaust pipes exiting the Bonnet, this angle gave the best reflection of the shape and design details on the curvy fender surface. Cars from the 1930s have a way of using metal as art!

Placed 27th in the challenge. The LALINDE bulk carrier cargo vessel was built in 2006 at the YAMANISHI SHIPBUILDING & IRON WORKS - Ishinomaki, Japan and has a home port in Manila, Philippinnes.

Placed 14th in the challenge. The National Museum of the American Indian is part of the Smithsonian Institute located on the National Mall in Washington DC. It's curvacious design follows the very organic influence of American Indian culture.

Placed 2nd in the challenge. The historical Battle House Hotel in Mobile Alabama has an interesting mix of Architecture and Interior Design details. I used an ultra wide lens to capture those details and the splendid colors in the lobby under night lighting from the second level.

Placed 10th in the challenge. The Coops Shot Tower located beneath the world's biggest glass cone in Melbourne Australia with Historical Aircraft and Christmas decorations on display.

After 39 missions over 27 years and 148 million miles and ONE YEAR IN SPACE total, here is what the Space Shuttle Discovery looks like up close at it's final resting place in the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly Va.

Placed 70th in the challenge. A wide view of the Christmas Decorations during a Light Show inside the Gaylord National Hotel. Those are life size shops and restaurants in the foreground, all under one high ceiling.
