If you got the 18-55mm with NX300 you should get 18-55mm v. III, the one with a metal mounting ring. As far as I know there wasnt any update for this version, fw 1.01 is the latest one.

The NX1100 is identical or almost identical to NX1000. The NX2000 has the same sensor but the image-processing engine, DRIMe IV, is the same as in NX300.

Has anyone noticed that after updating to the latest firmware the lens sometimes goes into magnifying mode (MF assist) by itself?

Lenses firmwares has been combined into one zip file on Samsung website, what actually has a much sense.

It would be interesting if people still on firmware 1.00 could check how many RAW pics they can take because I think I could get more than five before I updated the firmware, not sure now....

I can hear a mechanical sound, kind of difficult to describe but I wouldn't necessarily call it a horrible grinding. It becoming worse and more annoying at small aperture though.

It seems to be an old firmware released back in Sept 2012. Its got a proper label now so it is actually possible to find it. People were complaining that it is very difficult to find any lens...

Maybe because 55mm would be very close to 60mm? 45mm fits just between 30mm and 60mm. The samples look fabulous, seems the lenses perform even better than 30mm. Im going to get it as soon as see...
