I don't know about Korea but I bought a tamron 24-70mm f2.8 vC for about 600 GBP in Taiwan which is much cheaper than the UK. Tamron used to offer only a year's guarantee but now they offer 3 years...

Not just a great lens but super sharp too.

Here are some photos
It was actually rammed with people around this statue but with a 14mm lens I was able to stand right next to it and this shot as if no one was there. I did get into...

The samyang is an amazing lens for UWA. I use it on my d800 and set it on infinity most of the time. I do miss occasional close up shots but never had a problem with other distances. It was great...

SD cards can now read and write at 90mb/s (toshiba) i bought some that writes at 60mb/s as most cards tend to read far quicker than they write. i wanted faster write times as i was shooting...

I had a similar problem. Did you untick the "don't import suspected duplicates box" . it is default to checked.

http://m.buy.yahoo.com.tw/?sub=107&hpp=n1sub107This website is good place to start comparing prices in Taiwan. Street prices are cheaper still if you shop around. No where is more expensive than...

I find it does hunt in low light with the assist turned off for every 10/20 shots and its not a speed monster. However I do think its an amazing lens but I have missed a lot of action shots with it.

This is good news for all. Especially micro 4/3rds, I'm glad I chose this format over 2 years ago rather than a sony nex at the time. I still don't want to spend crazy amounts on a lens though...

The 35mm series all taken at f2. The 35dx f/1.8 the 35 f/2 d and the new sigma 35mm f/1.4

D lenses are sharp but they aren't so good with coma and flaring. They are however cheap and light with the ability to manually change aperture (think able to use on other bodies with adapter. Eg...

I find it a good general purpose lens. Portraits and street. Together with a d800 it can also get quite close but its not a macro.

I got mine here in Taiwan. But was lucky as one shop said there was a waiting list bigger than 10. and I randomly went into one shop and bought their last copy.

I've been shooting constantly with it for a few weeks now. It's heavy but it's sharp at F/1.4 which is the main reason I got it. It's not fast at focusing, I expect it to be a little faster for...

I don't have the nikkor 35mm 1.4G but i bought the sigma 35mm 1.4 a few days ago and did a comparison with my nikkor 35 f/2D and 35 DX 1.8G at F/2 (the maximum the F/2D can do) and found all three...

If it is really unpopular like the 17-50mm F/2.8 VC Dii then it fell almost half it's price from when I bought it but this was over a 2-3 year time frame.

1st Nikon 35mm F/1.8 DX2nd Nikon 35mm F/2D3rd Sigma 35mm F/1.4

I think the new sigma 35mm has made these two lenses obsolete, sharp at f/1.4 which is why you buy a lens at f/1.4. The samyang is a little cheaper but the sigma offers more.

I don't have the expensive Nikon or the manual samyang 35mm. But I do have the f2d and the f/1.8 DX. I'll try and do one tonight.
