RuthC: There is a harshness about this stark landscape, cand1d, and you have captured the essence of this image extremely well, and a well-deserved third place in this 'Wrinkles' Challenge. Wrinkles we have in abundance, as a result of one the many volcanic eruptions in Iceland. The overcast skies have added to the bleakness and lifelessness of the lava fields, except for one lone person in the distance adding to the perspective of the whole interesting picture.
Ruth :-)

Thank You Ruth for your kind comments :))

Prairie Pal: Beautiful composition. Too bad about the exposure though. It would look better as one exposure with some curve adjustments and just let the sky go. Unless there is something very special about a sky it looks better to accept it's brightness or omit it from the composition. We've become obsessed with skies. This sky ruins the shot.

Thank you very much for your critique on my 3 years old shot! That was one of my first plays with HDR and now I do not like this HDR look of the sky too :)

Ron Poelman: Really nice convergence of the elements
and a very natural separation of the lighting,
just really nice.

Thank You very much, Ron!

cand1d: Dear AdVeen!
My entry has been disqualified from the challenge called for the following reason:
"Beautiful picture, but too panoramic". What is your definition of panorama and what does it mean "too panoramic"?
My picture http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/1839735408/photos/3445946/alesund has format about 2x3. Is it a panorama? Is it more "panoramic" as another entries here?

There is some shots with much sky here. For example:
