Nope; shot with it on 4 days on a trip to D.C. and did not notice excessive draining on my 5d miii.Good luck with your decision.Kind regards from a wet and cold Holland :-)

Had the 24-105 on my 400d, loved the color reproduction and reach. Had the 7d+15-85 (the crop equivalent) and really loved this as all purpose range. I now have the 5d miii and opted for the Tammy...
