Well Elinchrom have now brought out the Hybrid version of the Quadra, so you have bought the old version.  The Hybrid version is guaranteed to work with both the lead gel and lithium ion battery...

That's the name they give to the entire system (pack and heads), which is why I said the heads may need modifying to make them work with the different types of battery.

It does make their product line slightly confusing and look like they didn't know what they were doing when they came up with the original and then the RX versions.

The price came down because they're now recycling the PCBs they're swapping out. I'm not sure what they're recycling them into though.
