Thanks for the advice about the 12mm Frank. I've seen one mint for a good price on the web, but after your advice, better to take care.
-
Thank you. You have a point here :-).
-
Thanks. That could be an interesting future option, but 12mm is wide enough for most of my m4/3 pictures.
-
Thanks. Yes, the versatility of the 12-40 is a huge advantage. Plus, it seems to have prime-like IQ, though we must wait a bit more tests.
-
Thanks. A super tele will be an option for me when a real good one will hit the shelves (like a m4/3 version of the ZD 50-200mm)
-
Thanks!
No blasphemy :-) But the 45mm is my favorite portrait/small tele lens and I use it a lot with 100% satisfaction. The 17mm f/1.8 is tempting too, but redundant FL with the 12-40.

Interesting answer :-) That could be an option too ;-)
The thing is that I have too many lenses I don't use, and I would like to have a minimal kit that gives me 100% satisfaction in my favorite...

Hi Godfrey,
Interesting and not ususal setup that you have. From your kit, I think you work mainly in MF mode. The ZD 11-22 was one of my favorite lens with the E1/E3, but I found it difficult to...

Thank you for all answers so far.
Yes, the 2nd combo make most sense to me too. I'd like to have a minimalist set (3-4 lenses) that I use all the time than many lenses that I rarely use.
Now, with...

Hi,
I need your thoughts about a a lens dilemma.
I currently have the E-M5, Pan 14mm f2.5, Oly 17mm f/2.8, Oly 12-50mm, Pan 14-45mm and Oly 45 mm f/1.8. My plan is to sell other stuff (4/3 and m4/3...

Wow, I didn't knew that. That's bad...

Nikon is not the only camera maker that sells defective products. Canon had sold many 650D with peeling problems, Panasonic has apparently some defective GX7, Olympus had a batch of E-M5 which...

Thanks for your comment. I should try to lower sharpening in future picture, they look too sharp you're right.
-
Thanks for your comment and critique.I've printed the 1 at a large size and it looks pretty good. Pity the sky is so flat.
-
Beautiful pictures, and thanks for your C&C and great advices! I'm not used to BW processing, and keen to learn.
I've tried to add some drama in the skies with local adjustment points in Silver...

Thanks for your comments.
You're right about the sky in picture 2 : I've pushed it too far to try to give a dramatic look, but the sky was so flat originally that it dosen't work. Have to go there...

May I ask some critics?
Do you like the BW treatment ? Is it too harsh or does it work ?
Thanks in avance.

Some B&W D600 pictures processed with Silver Efex Pro.
C&C welcomed

Nice post, good thoughts.
In DSLR systems, primes generally have better IQ and are less distorted than zooms.
That's not really the case in m4/3, because we have outstanding zooms : Panny 12-35,...

First, the D610 is a rumored camera. It may or may not exist in the future.
The D600 is here, and it's an awesome camera. Yes, some D600 are more prone to dust than others in their young age...
