Needs to be 0.5 seconds of shutter speed.
Took 5 copies of the image and modified the exposures in Aperture for each image. The end result was -2, -1, 0, +1 and +2Selected all and used photomatix to create this HDR.
ranalli: I think it's a nice image but up close there seems to be a lot of noise concentrated in various areas throughout the image. Is that DPR doing this to your picture?
This image was one of my first images that I processed with photomatix AND I also had just started with photography. I can't remember exactly what happened to the image but you are right there is a lot of noise in the image at close inspection. Definitely not DPR doing this. Rookie mistakes :-)
Thanks to all who voted for my entry!
MurliRao: Nice image. The sky looks biblical !
Thank you. I was a strange summer night as I remember. Really hot day, hot night, no wind just clouds
Miwok: This is great!
Thank you! Very nice of you
jezsik: Nice shot! Now, can you tell us what you did to get that effect?
That is a very good question but unfortunately I can't remember all the steps involved. It was taken April last year. The only thing I do remember is putting a lot of contrast into the image and removing highlights. The sky was actually way more orange, but how I made it this yellow colour I can't remember. Sorry I can't provide anymore detail.
Niccum: This is an awesome image. Clear winner; Congrats!
ron wrucke: I'm in this challenge, but this is one nice image; great job .. !
