Excellent work gents! The one thing I would point out is the lost ability to un-link a hyperlink - There were two buttons before, one to link, one to un-link. Now what remains is just to link. Where the problem is sometimes when pasted text is brought into the editing window, it will carry some of the hyperlinks with it. Before the changes, all one had to do was click on the hyperlinked word and click on the un-link button. Now, it's quite the tedious process to do.
One nice feature you can perhaps consider is to add the ability to search ones own posts.
Overall, the changes are very good indeed.
I could not disagree more with the results - Your own real world comparison bears that out - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canon-g15-nikon-p7700-shootout/10
As anyone can see.. the P7700 has superior IQ in terms of sharpness and resolving. That, and it has an additional 60mm on the long end, and 4mm at the short end. For me, how sharp and clear the picture is coupled with lens FL range .... is first and foremost over and above any additional "features". imo
The Nikon takes a sharper clearer picture... which ultimately is the goal of any camera ..... yet the other lesser machine gets the gold award. Oh well!
As others have stated..... I wish that this ends up being an EPIC FAIL.... a fail so huge that until now, nothing will have rivaled it.
I'm talking ..... upper corporate management wholesale head-rolling... EPIC fail.
I'm talking the 1980's "New Coke" ... EPIC fail.
Nightwings: No viewfinder = NO SALE
@Uri Ben - Your comments are FAR more LOUDER than mine.
When ever I run across what "I" perceive to be a perfect little camera ruined by the fact that it has no viewfinder .... I am not shy about letting the manufacturer know that ... if not for that one CRITICAL missing feature, I most probably would have bought one.
YOU may like to stand arm stretched out to take a picture.. "I" do not. YOU may like to struggle in full sunlight to see what is on the screen... "I" do not. ;)
In so far as "crying" publicly ... I sincerely doubt change would come about if one "cries" about it privately. ;)
No viewfinder = NO SALE
Suggestion to the reviewer -
When showing the different film simulation modes .... Please choose a landscape shot with lots of green ... trees... and sky. The shot that you chose of the boats.... means nothing imho... because we don't know what the true natural color of those boats are in real life. Whereas a landscape shot, is a subject that we can easily relate to in terms of colors.

Nightwings: For all you holier than thou idealists who will "Never buy another Nikon product again"
Please, absolve yourselves from your sins and send me your existing Nikon gear, where I will (cough) properly dispose of them for you. :)
@sosmix .... yes but you would be profitting..... living off of the avails of Nikon. Nope.... the only moral solution is to send them to me. Repent now!! ;)

scott_mcleod: What, no camo/safari green?
Actually.... this is something that I've always thought was overlooked by companies that candy wrap their cameras like these. Cammo... green, brown, or gray would actually look great, and would be functional at the same time.
Good job on the preview ... and done in good time as well. Thanks!
No hotshoe..... no viewfinder=no sale ;)
Digitall: When come out the Nikon Coolpix B? :)
Anyway, here is a video from this model:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8dVE9gu96A
At 1:52 of that video ... he says "Your camera should be second nature to you......"
To that I would add .... "Your camera ..... SHOULD HAVE A VIEWFINDER!!!"
Dang beautiful camera non the less. They will sell like hotcakes!!
Agreed though.... 28 is a little too wide for this type of camera - Which is probably why VR isn't needed.
Further proof .... that... the larger the pixel.. the less noise the overall image will have. ;)
Nightwings: This camera was doomed the moment it was decided no to include a EVF. That... and it's butt ugly imo.
I have no idea..... why..... if Camera companies want to put out a mirrorless camera .... why they don't SIMPLY swap out the mirror box for an EVF.......KEEPING the present DSLR form factor. I'd buy one in a blink.
Exactly .... but better designed so light isn't lost through the mirror.
Minolta4Life: For most, cameras are toys not tools...especially in this class. Who wants an ugly toy? This thing looks like water will squirt out of the lens when you depress the shutter button.
You mean it doesn't??

WilliamJ: Does that mean that future Nikon's too will include in their circuits a backdoor (cf: http://tinyurl.com/32gogme ) that allows the Magic Lantern users (cf: http://tinyurl.com/28x228 ) to browse at their heart content your SD card ?
Good grief.. get a grip.
It's absolutely NOT spam.
The real criminals are ...
The politicians.... lawyers.... and judges that allow this to happen.
teastain: Just a request to the other commenters:
Just as we keep racism and politics out of the comments, please let's also keep FanBoy-ism out as well.
If you have a helpful comment please share.
If you prefer the way Canon does something, go ahead and say so, maybe Nikon will listen and improve their product!
@teastain
Sounds like a very good suggestion!
If I ever discover something that Canon does better, I'll be sure to post about it! ;)
KZMike: For the $$$, I'd like to see a rear LCD screen that can, at least, adjust up or down. Such a large % of my shots seem to 'want' this. Can someone tell me why Nikon,Cannon limit this to their "lesser" bodies?
@Josh152
No so at all ... a "NORMAL" articulating screen such as found on a Nikon P510 or P7100 ... absolutely does not take away from any potential side to side function buttons. However, a FULL articulating Camcorder style articulating screen (I personally hate those) WILL take away valuable function button real estate.
