It does frustrate me when people are more concerned with how they or anyone else looks while taking a picture rather than the result. Wasn't meaning to offend anyone here but the op had a question...
-
This statement was made in maybe the 6th or 7th reply to the OP's question: "but lets be honest , it conveys an amateurish look if nothing else" (emphais added once more)
And again Ill say that I...

This statement was made in the first response to the OP's question: "Because many of us believe it is better to bring the camera up to your eye rather than hold it at arms length in order to see...

I feel ya. Im still blessed with good eyesight (for now I guess). I was only directing my frustration at some folks who denigrate LCD users because they dont look professional enough or whatever...

Exactly right both of you.
Reminds me when I was younger and starting to play golf, being a young man I thought i had to have a 1000 set of clubs to show up on the course and not be laughed off the...

Thanks I understand what you're saying now. Ill give that some thought and keep options open. Nice to know the option is there
-
That's perfectly understandable, and I had expected to hear from somebody regarding this. Don't forget that I am a big fan of eye level viewfinders. I won't own a camera without one or the option...

I was just wanting to be able to leave the filter thread adapter on and use a CPL.

Thank you for the info. My camera and lenscap wont be here till mid-week. Wanted to ask before ordering a filter adapter. And thanks again as I was curious if the lenscap flaps would close all the...

Can you still attach and use the filter adapter and a CPL with the JJC automatic lens cap on the camera? Anyone do this or tried it?
-
I wasnt trying to single anyone out about it nor accuse anyone of anything. Only pointing out the fact that some folks tend to over-state the awkwardness of using the LCD to shoot. Sure its not...

First: I am a big fan of eye level viewfinders and have the lvf2 ordered along with my LX7. But the way most people portray LCD shooters is simply gratuitous. You dont have to hold the camera "at...

I think the first one could be more striking if it were a plain white plate against a black background. Almost like a selective color with the strawberries being the only color in the image. Just...

Good point. The fz is probably the best day-game baseball camera you can buy on a dollar/performance basis. Plus you look less like a dork sitting in the stands with it than with a dslr and 3000...

I agree 100% with this. The BW image is more powerful in this case
-
That's what I recently did. Sold some lenses and ordered the lx7. Will keep the slr and 2.8 zoom for sports but hope to be able to use the lx7 for most everything else. Probably will still use the...

I use a sony a37 and it works wonderfully. Very small, affordable, and I'm a fan of evf vs the crop frame ovf but that's just a preference.
