If you have a NEX-7 you "need" the Zeiss. I really like the combo and it gets a lot more use than our full sized dslr because of the size.

"Does this feature produce good results?" Yes, the hand held twilight is great. But it is full auto, no adjustments.

I got my Sony Branded battery for $30 from amazon.

You can also just take off the lens and then turn it on and it will stay on. That way you do not have to set the camera to manual.

Does the NEX-7 comes with a thin plastic frisk over the rear screen? It looks link it may have a frisk on it but I do not want to pick at it if it was not ment to come off. Thanks, James

Maybe they will put PDAF in the 5N and 7 and add a full frame. Maybe when they were working on their full frame a-mount nex they figured out PDAF, if so they should retro fit it into the other models.

I have both the 50 1.8 and 35 1.8. The 50mm is a little better lens technically but the 35mm is more usefull. They are so cheap I would get both but buy the 35mm first.

Yes accurate live view in the EVF is very nice. I can never move to an OVF now.

Uhmm.... The NEX-7 is already a better camera for a lot of people... Me included. They just need there lenes to hit the market.
