i got pics hand-held at 1/6th with my G3 and panasonic 45-200's stabilization.  i can get about 1/20 pretty consistently with my E-PM2's regular IBIS and the kit lens, but haven't tried an OM-D...

to me, these picss don't speak to me.  i don't get an idea of what the people in them are like, or how they're involved - or not involved - with a situation or the environment or others around...

but maybe the user who wrote the review got a G5 with a flimsy eye piece and a loose hinge.  he (she?) isn't, after all, reviewing your G5.

very nice pics - i prefer the color versions. btw, i'm not sure i agree that a shallower DOF would have improved these.  i like the interplay between the people and the world around them.  the pics...

for me, the advantages of the E-PM2 outweighed the lower price of the E-PM1, but whether the E-PM1 meets your needs depends on... well, your needs. it's not a shabby camera, but is less...

my sony NEX 5R had hybrid autofocus, but it didn't turn out to be all that fast or accurate, and sometimes i couldn't get it to focus on things at all.  my E-PM2 focuses faster and more accurately...
