I think the choice between a K-5 and K-30 would depend a lot on whether you should manually or in program. I generally shoot my K-5 in M mode and I frequently use the green button, AE-L button, and AF-L button. I could get equal results from a K-30 but I would miss the hell out of having those functions on separate buttons.
Price may be ridiculous but so is the image quality. Those samples are amazing. It is clearly excellent at what it does.
I wish I could afford one.
I never forgave them for discontinuing Ektar 25.
jedinstvo: In the early 50s Canon got up and running building camera bodies which took Leica lenses. Why can't they do that now? I've got all these film Leicas and lenses and have no intention of continuing to shoot film and no interest in spending $8000 on a Leica designed for people with emotional problems. So how about a nice Canon body with a Leica mount? The best of both worlds, as far as I'm concerned. In the meantime, I'm pretty happy with my G12. I'll buy one of these once they become available. But I keep looking at the M6 with the 28 Summicron sitting on my desk and wishing I had a nice body to put the lens on!
Why not use a Ricoh GXR with the A12 Mount?
