There was a complaint that this photo is not authentic. Meta info shows that it was processed in ACDSee 14 and JPEGSnoop reports Class 4: Uncertain. The size submitted is a small size so it is impossible for JPEGSnoop to identify compression differences across the image. I may require full rez uploads in future challenges.

The validity is plausible to my eyes so I will leave this up to the author to react based on his sincerity. If this image is not real he'll have to live with shame for getting a high mark on dishonesty, so go ahead and vote. Kaizer Kabir can save his shame for doing what he thinks is right.

Regards, Jason

aleatory: Disqualified a few. Common mistake is this:
Does not follow
[Capture] of shapes and forms we can identify as a living subject, place, thing or spirit.

In some captures it is impossible or difficult to identify what we should be seeing from the abstract medium while a few others did not represent anything outside of what already was there.

Feel free to try again.

win13: Too many rules

Trying to focus on aleatory forms that represent themselves as other things we can identify with. Keeping to that objective requires the enumeration of all these rules as there are some that have mis-understood the objectives of previous challenges in this series.

Definitively in line with the theme and suburb.

fireplace33: ...Anything that changes pixel lattice relationships ????

I will take a look at submissions on Sunday to check if any are questionable. My concern seeing some of the submissions is that several do not meet the intent of this challenge. Perhaps I was not clear and I did not include this in the requirements list: Images of flames must represent something identifiable, like a human shape, object or other recognizable form.

However I wiill leave the submissions that do not fit in since I fault myself for not making this clear.

Meshing two different images together captured from different cameras. Each camera manufacturer use their own color interpolation algorithms, different resolutions and lenses factors in differences in pixel pattern distributions. Also the use of smudge tools and stamp tools reveal differences in distributions inconsistent with the rest of the photo.

There is an open source software that simplifies the identification of photo tampering using the same principles I described.

On break through in the Airplanes in Flight challenge (10 comments in total)

Amazing in everyway...When I came across this I thought to myself "This will be the winner..."

It came very close indeed. The distribution of the voting shows that...a large portion voted all 5 stars.

I don't know what there is not to like about this exposure.
