Going down the NEX road is the way to go.You have a A77 so you dont need another dslr to lug around.Not sure why you would want a NEX 6 with only the 16mp sensor ?Like you I will sit on my wallet...

Hm......I saw the sky twice...once in Beijing.........and a glimpse in Shanghai....the pollution was so bad I stuck to shooting the skyline at night.

thats interesting , and i did manage to repeat these results on a number of shots, so i began to look hard at how these panos are stitched and yes that effect marks the beginning of a frame.
