To be honest, I'm not sure. I have kind of a split relationsihp with the 12-50. I'm sure it's more than sharp enough used at the right f/stops though. But I rarely get the pictures taht pops out...

Regarding the Bokeh, or out of focus areas. I can always make that nice in PP if needed. (Not in this case.) Normally my problem is to get all I want in focus... :-)
The "In the wood" picture is...

Even if I realise this site is mostly for hardware....? I just wanted to share two photos from last Sunday in the woods. The photos are taken with a EM-5 and the kit 12-50. Feel free to comment if...

I have to disagree. Show us some samples if you can....

I have no problems with making a blurry background in PSP. Plenty of DOF is an additonal bonus of 4/3 compared to 135mm ( so called FF) Making a creamy unsharp background is very easy!

There is a WB setting in E-M5 to keep warm skin tones or change to correct skin tones if I remember right. Probably the same for E-M1

Thae answer is obvious! :-) Get the E-M5 and get taht cheap SIgma 19mm. In fact, it's a great lens!

Gold award for a camera with slow focus that takes close to 1 sec to focus and then a seond delay until next shoot. But maybee I'm missing something...?

New thinking, simple as that.

Perhaps you could turn of the touch screen?

High ISO looks pretty good compared to my E-M5! Impressive!

Do you get to keep the "unteleconverted" RAW file in addition to digitaly converted jpg?

I have changed back to my old favorite editing program a long time ago. In addition to do layers, it can use most Pplugins for Photoshop.
The user Interface is very different. In fact it is more...

Here is one shot taken at f/2.2 With my 45mm. At least my copy is plenty sharp at that f stop.

I did some testing with the ZD 50-200 and E-30/E-5 a few years ago. You may be able to see a hint of diffraction effect at f/8, but for any real world photos I had to stop down to f/11 to really...

Considering the viewing distance of larger picture, any camera above 10 mpix can print any size. More mpix is really not needed!

No it's not my OM-D or the 45mm used to make this snap of my father that is 88 years old! :-)
In no way is this any kind of masterpiece, but I find the the 45mm is a a very good lens for portraits.

If you want to save money you can use the same cheap solution I have. A Viltrox 4/3 adapter and an old 4/3 40-150mm. It's sharp, cheap and normally achive focus faste than I could do it manually...

I have had look at the test at http://slrgear.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/1439/cat/68 and they come to quite a different conclusion.
"The 25mm ƒ/1.4 Summilux is exceptionally sharp,...

I usually make all my JPG files from RAW in LR4, but I have to admit that sometimes I have a hard time besting the camera RAWS. The so called Olympus blue, that can be very apealing, I find it hard...
