kongqueror: Except for the awful looking lens exterior, this will definitely be an interesting upgrade to current superzoom users like myself. For me, the bigger 2/3" sensor is the centerpiece of this XS-1 as it is automatically different from the rest in its class and possibly, just by virtue of the size, have the best IQ. I'm very interested! I wish all the other superzoom makers follow suit.
having held a sample I can tell you the lens actually feels like a joy to use, those rubber ridges along it make it very comfortable to hold.
slight error on the last lens mentioned, the Tamron SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di is available at least for Sony as well as Nikon and Canon, without the VC of course but you guys mentioned other lenses that had non stabilised lenses for the stabilised mounts...
