Off topic, but, would you recommend the 35mm AF-D? It gets crappy optical ratings from lens reviews but the comments just don't quite add up with the numbers which suggest a...
I hear that the Plustek OpticFilm 120 is very good, but around $2000.
Does 35mm as well.
I have over 5,000 slides of various formats to scan. It's a hell of an undertaking
- perhaps when I retire...
One of the reason's we love our D4's. Welcome to the club ;)
Loved it. Jim Jarmusch eat ya heart out :)
The F3, F5 somehow seemed easier to manual focus than the D4, D800 bodies.
There have been some magnificent (film) bodied prism view finders in the past -
D4 sensor is very good. Now, tweaked for the Df.
Defragging aside, isn't Cocktail doing some good?

Nikon D4 pentaprism
Tiss a thing of beauty ..
The F6 had quite a view finder ..

Here's a capable photog who did a good review opposed to the keyboard photogs shooting something down who haven't even been within a 50 mile radius of...
This would help with manual focus -
The D4 pentaprism seems larger though.
Hi Robin and all. Wondering if there are any updates, or new findings on the QP vs x-rite color checkers?
Trying to tame the D800/E wild colors with lightroom - frustrating battle ;)
