I agree, but I think it still sells well enough that they have no motivation to update it. I'd love to see the internal focusing of the 14/2.5 in a 20mm model. And the optics are great, but if...

It ends up being about an effective stop slower on the wide end and about a half stop slower on the telephoto end. I'd hardly call that incredibly slow, at least compared to a comparable APS-C...

The press release seems to think it will still be quiet: "Incorporating an inner focus drive system and stepping motor, The new LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. is capable of...

Yes, so did I, and I checked everything three times before sending it in.So apparently you were lucky :)

In case anyone cares, I ended up getting my money from Olympus.I called the rebate center, and much to my surprise, a human being answered. She had me fax in any supporting information I had, so I...

Yes, I scanned everything before I sent it off. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll see how far I get. Somehow I get the feeling it's going to involve some serious phone time :(

I just got back what looked like a check from Olympus, except it was from the "Olympus Non-Compliance Department" telling me "Proof of additional qualifying purchase is required". I triple checked...

Wow, did you even read the first post? You just selectively edited out the parts that you didn't have retorts for.He clearly stated that this first body was a low end body, and that this wouldn't...

Flickr is taking baby steps in bringing itself up to date, but not at the rate that it should. I've been on Flickr since 2005, so it's not like i'm going anywhere, but i'd certainly like to see...

.. but what would make me even happier is an Oly 17/2 MSC for about the same price as the Oly 45/1.8.

Interesting. Seems best to shoot it wide open if possible at almost all focal lengths. Of course it's slow enough that this would likely happen anyways in most scenarios except for bright sunlight.

Hi all,I'm looking to buy a ND filter to cover as many of my lenses as possible (40-150, and the rest with step up rings should be covered by 58mm). I'm just wondering if the 9-18 (which I aim to...

It looks like the Kaza case is available now. Wish they had an option without the red stitching -- I really don't care for it. Guess I'll hold out for Toma, splurge on the Gariz, or wait for more...

If this is "sepia" then it must be very, very mild, as it looks like straight B&W to me.

If you're gonna put a skylight filter on, I'd go with the B+W MRC. They're expensive, but they're probably the best filter out there.FWIW, one good reason to use a skylight filter is if you're...
