Replied in OT - Starlight capture
Yeah! I thought that was the funniest thing stated in its points list.
Seems like the prices goes up to $14,000 as far as I can...

Replied in OT - Starlight capture
Impressive! I almost thought it came from a NASA probe. :-)
I see in an interview with Wired Science, Alan Friedman states that he uses a filter that was only available for research-grade...

Replied in SD1 oddity
Seems like the image cast of the flash bulb itself.

Replied in SD15 at 800 ISO and new firmware
It is possible that its already been implemented in the SD1Ms being shipped out.
Also a good reason for DPreview to re-edit their ~long awaited SD1~ *SD1 Merrell review*.

Replied in That-A-Way
That's because they're busy photoshoping the remaining images.

Replied in Firmware 1.04 SD15
Well if Sigma forgot to mention hi ISO improvements, do you think they also slipped in tethering as well? ;)
I only have the SD14 (check my profile) so I can't check.
Very curious to know.

Replied in Why review the SD1 when the SD1M is almost out?
You could right.
That seems very plausible now.. Seeing how Sigma's new firmware for the SD15 drastically ironed-out those hi ISO issues and failing not to mention that little detail ;). Even...

Nice shots.
I like the fact that you have your lighting setup illustrated along with the shot. In my case, I would always take a wide angle shot of my lighting setup after finishing a session. ...

Replied in is the Sigma SD1 now the best camera in the world at the approx $2000 price point
I agree that it is the best Sigma camera, but the tittle of this thread is just begging for DaSigmaGuy to pounce all over this one. :-)

Replied in data....
Personally, I've all ways believed at some point during the processing (pipeline) that the TRUE processor has its own hard-coded SPP making the final adjustments to the image in real time before it...

Replied in xitek inverview with Yamaki san, new boss of Sigma
So.. No more wishing for a ILC DP3M. It's just a matter of when. :-)

Hmm.. I wonder if the point system can be applied to that. :-)

Replied in New battery in DP2m/DP1m...
That's to make up for the dual processing, larger sensor and the 920k LCD. Should relatively wind up with the same number of shots on average per charge as in the older series.

Replied in D800 Sample
I agree with SigmaChrome. Although they are good captures, the images still seem flat, with plastic like skin and are non immersive.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
