From a wildlife photographer standpoint, the largest difference is fps. That is the largest gap between the two cameras in my opinion.
Here's a few other points:
1DX:
The shutter is loud. I have...

I've never stated that I was waiting for DP's review to determine the wisdom in buying a 1DX nor do I look at their scores for answers. I do however like to compare their RAW images with other...

The Metabones adapter will certainly help for those who need a wider angle on a cropped sensor, but a cropped sensor will always produce more noise than a comparable full-frame sensor. The...

Even though it has been out a while and others have reviewed it, I'd like to compare their raw test images vs. the 5D Mark III and 6D.It's Canon's flagship camera for Pete's sake...why wouldn't...

Is there a chance you might be able to do a comparison between the Rode NTG-2 and the DMW-MS2?I'm on the fence as to which one to buy. I primarily do nature/wildlife video and want something that...

Unless you plan on taking mostly still shots of birds, IS is rarely important. The IS system is only effective up to about 1/600 of sec in shutter speed. Beyond that, IS does not play a meaningful...

During the rut, bucks can be quite aggressive and have been known to charge. Keep your distance!Alan

In defense of the op, the price drop has been quicker and larger than in the past. Yes, we all know prices drop over time, but the 5DM3 isn't selling nearly as well as when the Mark II was...

Total agree with the previous posts. Come on DPR...Why is it taking so long for you to fully test and review the 1DX? I have to assume that there has been friction between you and Canon for the...

Nice pic, but I wonder how it might look cropped tighter showing just their heads?Alan

To put it simply if you goal is to primarily do landscape photography, the 5DM3 is a better choice. I own both and use them for different purposes...5DM3 - Portraits, Landscapes, Walk-About...

First things first, to check a sensor for dead/stuck pixels you leave the cap on the lens and take a long time exposure (30 sec) at ISO 50. Then check the RAW image for pixels that are anything but...

I find this statement hard to believe and would like to see a direct comparison between theses two lenses. The Canon 500mm f/4 II is about as sharp as it gets at f/4.There are ISO 12233 Chart 100%...

The one negative for Canon does have to do with deep reds. Contrast is just not as good as Nikon/s. It may have to do with the bayer pattern filter.Alan

Imaging Resource's "Comparometer" has 1DX samples available for comparison. Here's the link:

From what I've seen, in pretty much in-line with...

No disrespect to Artie, but he always has glowing reviews for the latest camera. Look back at his reviews. Not to say that the 1DX is a bad camera, I just wonder how much better it really is...

Yup. An 8-inch Newtonian reflector with (of course) a solar filter.
