manishsaini: so much noise in the sky.......not acceptable at this price :P

on 6400 ISO, probably D4 would be noisy too on the dark underexpose sky. Your point?

the noise reduction is quite aggresive. But probably the raw would do justice to the image. Is there any option on noise reduction on jpeg?

not very useful on 12800 in full resolution but better than Canon's other older sensors anyway.

too much noise reduction, destroying the detail on the corner on the bottom. Unfortunately ugly. The raw probably just fine.

yup, just like fujifilm tested the water (on m43) with its X100 to their last product X1 pro, probably Canon does it too with this G1 X to its mirrorless camera. Probably not in 3:2 format but the same as G1 X but with interchangeable lenses system to differentiate with their DSLR line ups. Make sense?

it just the lens that turn off the hype. Slow at 2,8-5,8 and you can't change that lens forever. Skip.

Henry M. Hertz: resolution better then a 5D MK2.. well lets see if fuji is telling bull as usual or if it is true.....

has seen the image sample, the noise on 1600 ISO is clean and film like, and the dynamic range (even with 100% setting on DR) is superb, and the sharpness not dissimilar than Foveon sensor camera but with more resolution. :) Just: WOW! Definitely better than M9 on the higher ISO.

photo nuts: Sample images from Fujifilm here:

Expecting to see pixel sharpness rivaling that of Sigma SD1/9/10/14. Didn't happen. Nothing particularly exciting... All hype....

I more interested in dynamic range than sharpness on this.

fujifilm has benchmarked the price range here, so this beast would not priced below 600 USD, unfortunately. X100 vs X10 vs GX-1 vs V1.

Sanook777: USB 2.0 for transfer :(

No Thunderbolt, fire-wire or even USB 3.0, This seems to me to be a huge oversight for an updated 2012 camera shooting such large file sizes.

Very disappointed on that one......

well just use your usb 3.0 card reader then tsk tsk tsk

Debankur Mukherjee: Excellent release from Nikon, but people who want high quality video - why dont they buy a dedicated HD Video Camera to do their Video work ??

By the way when will the D700 replacement come up ?? 8-))

hmm, point me if there are any HD video cameras (non DSLR) with full frame sensor, pretty please

Canon video user but use Nikon for studio work here. Nice high end camera, probably would never handle this one just like the Canon 1D series. Too expensive :)
The clean video output is the greatest thing this camera has, probably, but the limitation of 30fps would turn off a lot of video-makers. You know, 24fps holy-grail. :)

Same price range, similar spec (compared to 1Dx), I would predict that the photo performance would be in similar fashion. Noise, Color, speed etc etc.
In video area, 1Dx has new h264 coding method that made it easier to edit but the D4 has clean external output (that you could put external recorder such as atomos ninja or else)

compare to the iso 3200, the dynamic range latitude narrowed a lot, but still useable for emergency and low light snapshot
