Good price for constant f 1.8 aperture zoom! Let's hope the street price would be lower :)

Let me put this way:
Samsung S4 Zoom vs iPhone5: better phone, much much better camera, Samsung win

S4 Zoom vs Pureview808: better phone OS, Nokia win at image quality.

Samsung S4 Zoom vs Fujifilm X20: Fujifilm X20 win (and all of advanced pocketable/smallish camera in Samsung S4 Zoom price range)

Leica fans logic:
Very affordable price, imagine if you bought M9 with leica zoom lens, that would be more than 10.000 USD. So, thanks Leica for bring this cheap camera for us middle class fans.

40daystogo: My dream Leica camera would be, firstly, affordable, and have a full frame sensor or APS-C with a non-interchangeable 24-90 Leica zoom lens with at least f2.0 or preferably f1.4 aperture. That would cover most of my photographic needs. i.e. their X2 with zoom lens.

I am disappointed with the Sony RX1 and Leica X1, X2 series because I need a good zoom lens, rather than fixed focal length.

The Leica zoom lens on the Panasonic LX5/LX7 - Leica D-Lux 5 etc is really sharp, and I'd love a Leica camera with non-interchangeable zoom with a decent sensor size.

affordable Leica? Good luck with that :)
btw, Fujifilm X-Pro is quite good.

On article Just Posted: Canon EOS M preview samples gallery (130 comments in total)

saw some low light high iso samples of this camera and my first impression is negatives so far. Too bad. And the body itself is not charming enough, as if this camera is targeting for domestic market. Canon, why you don't use retro look on this camera design? We really want to see Canonet comeback from the grave.

ezradja: More expensive than 50mm 1,8. Nikon always like that, overrated overpriced product LOL

@Francis Every single Nikon lens is pricier than Canon counterpart except for a few rare lenses, I don't know, is it because Nikon lenses has some Canon license fee on it or Nikon just greedier than Canon LOL

Why everyone bashing Nikon labelled as Canon troll, ah, those who labeling are Nikon trolls LOL no wonder! @Francis Carver
I use D700 and D7000 at studio and didn't like it, I use iMac at work (studio) and didn't like it more than my Windows PC at home. You are the Nikon troll! I am not Canon fans.

On article Hands-on with Nikon V2 (455 comments in total)

Canon EOS M is a disappointment, Nikon 1 series also a disappointment. Why they can't do the right thing with mirror-less camera for foreign market? Of course, EOS M and Nikon 1 are targeted for some of young people in domestic (Japan) market, it's obvious. While Fuji with its X series is targeting domestic market and abroad.

Canon EOS M, wrong body choice (why put S100ish body to APS sized sensor mirrorless system?)

Nikon 1 series, wrong sensor size.

Fuji, right sensor size, right body.

BTW, IMHO, the industrial design of this V2 actually not bad at all, if only it has the right sensor size (of course not Nikon 1 system, APS sized sensor is more preferable) then with the right price (700-900 USD?) should this V2 to be appealing to a much more audiences.

This is definitely better than Nikon V2!

But i guess it's still a good system for kids with rich parents. I mean, they better handled this than the real DLSR/MILCs.

Come on, those who defend this system, are you not considered yourself fanboys? LOL
It's not about it's look, it's not ugly.
The system that's suck! Small sized sensor, relatively slow lenses, unbelievable high price, all are bad!

On Connect post Tablets for photographers: Best options for on-the-go workflow (145 comments in total)

iOS and Android apps simply couldn't (right now, at least) catch up with the capabilities that Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop provided, so just wait for Windows 8 tablet then. Let see, if Nokia, the maker of Pureview handsets will making Pureview tablet with WIndows 8 (not RT version) that could use Lightroom, and any native Windows program, then ....

before any Lightroom function like on my tablet (iPad or Android) then it's off limit for use for serious photography. Of course if you just want to posting on social media such as facebook, instagram etc, tablets should be sufficient.
