  • Commented on Is this the new Leica 'Mini M'? news story

If I'm allowed a guess, I would agree with others that this is a system camera. A fixed 3.5-6.4 (!) seems so un-Leica to me. 11th of June is not that far away!

    It's 'Messsucher'. Yep, it's got 3 's', it's not a typo.

  • Meanwhile, at the SONY camp... errr never mind...

  • Commented on {Text:Title} preview

The A's RAW is astonishing! And I wouldn't tell apart its jpgs from the D7100. I wonder what went wrong with the OLFP removal on the D7100. The X is less sharp (not soft though) but more consistent...

  • How much should a D5200 cost with a premium 2.8/28 in a small (i.e. pocketable) metal package? A 1.000€ sounds fair enough for me.

  • I think that even average Joe will face a dilemma when he will have to choose from the 600D and the 700D. He will probably see no justifiable reason to go for the newer model. This is in Canon's...

  • ?????
I commented on the OP's argument of bad wording on Canon's part.
They only refer to the 19μΜ long pixels to compute the total surface area (the way you did it); the latter being ~7.5 bigger...

  • Astronomical video captures expected to be phenomenal!
At long last, Canon produces something cool and meaningful. As others already said, we can only hope (wait?) for the same tech on a DSLR (FF...

  • I can't see where they mention 19 microns pixel pitch. They say 19^2 microns surface area.

The same in the dpr intro:
"...meaning each pixel measures a huge 19 microns along each edge."

    They...

  • Thanks marike6 for your reply.

It's funny how you and your kind respond to a simple observation by making personal attacks on a co-forumer. So, instead of showing-off your ability in insulting,...

  • I won't be as aggressive as you. I suppose you meant to comment more politely but missed it. Anyway, you find the images of the airplanes satisfactory to showcase the effect of the OLPF removal?...

  • 4 images of airplanes! How challenging! Carefully selected images to avoid introduction of moire. The same for the other two, with a bit more "interesting" subject. But I cannot see the crispness...

  • ...and it's hugely important because you can use this image to... errr...

  • The RX1 might as well run into issues. Omitting a lens hood is a totally different matter. This has to do with decisions. And that's where premium lies.

  • Frustration. You so badly WANT to love it but it won't let you.

USB charging, no lens hood included, SONY at its lamest; putting to shame their biggest bet yet.
And... dust on the sensor??? What...
