I own both the Canon 135f2 and Nikon 135f2DC for many years. the Canon is sharper wide open with good contrast while the Nikkor is sort of dreamy wide open with lower contrast which is appealing...

Not true that the Canon has low contrast at f2!

That is normal for that lens.

Sorry for the late response I was busy doing the over neglected chores. I leave face detection on all the time...it only changes the focus point if it recognizes a human face in the frame...it...

Lovely sensor in this DP2M..Sigma got it right! If only Sigma included a VF. I`m contemplating acquiring a DP3M once the price drops..... as the DP2M did two weeks after I bought it!

I tried a Sigma EF500 DG originally purchased with my sd9, it works but is larger than the DP2m.

I just tried this face detection. A snap shot.... and it works pretty good!
