photopro: After reading the comments here and other blogs etc. i can only shake my head at most of you... no offense to any of you but you micro analyse the functions like you are NASA engineers, when in fact i suspect most of you rarely shoot high speed applications, basketball, F-1 type racing, NFL football on a regular basis, or shoot in light low enough to pick apart a 5000 vs. one low light focusing point. i learned on 35mm and medium format manual focus, and had very few rejects. If you are worried that your late model (20D or later) wont get your shot its not the equipment at fault. I shoot mostly wedding and portrait and some sports with a 20 and 50D and any rejects are my fault. 50% of the capability of these cameras can do more then 90% of your ability.. Most pros would agree, but then again you wont find many pros here nitpicking...

Hi photopro
Yes it is us users that initially need to capture that perfect photo before editing & yes many nitpick, with you on that one. Only reason I need to update is for needing full frame camera for pet photography with giving me that extra leeway in not cutting them out when needing to frame any for customers.

ecapdeville: My new Nikon D600 is coming home... I was a Canon user until all my gear was stolen in my last trip to Stockholm (7d and 1D MkII, 24-105L and 70-200 2.8L) last August. So with no gear to use I am going to Nikon and straight to a FF body this time. I choose the D600 over the 6D because the Wifi and GPS are not my priority and because I am loosing jobs because I don't have cameras to shoot with. My next Nikon body will be a D300s for the sport pics... I miss Canon but I am really excited to try Nikon for the first time... greetings...

Hi there ecapdeville
Have to admit I am a Nikon girl from old enough like my Dad & went with a Canon EOS 600D at this stage being in my price range. I am in addition to my Pet Services business commencing 1ST January will be adding my pet photography to clients for word of mouth with starting out. Will make do for sessions & then use for social gatherings
Would like to hear your feedback on the Nikon to the Canon if they are much the same in using.
In the future I am going to FF & if they are at the same level in quality & using then will go with Canon with being cheaper. Also with more megapixels for clients who want photos blown-up.
Must admit I love my Canon & have changed my mindset with all being about the brand name for choice in camera, would had it before otherwise!
