With todays's sensor technology you can easily made a 1 MP sensor that clearly wins at pixel level in dynamic range, noise, iso, etc. compared to anything, but doing it at 34 MP gets much more...

Well, I haven't used it yet, but I am pretty confident it surpases my actual D300s in many ways.
