Why on earth they don’t put direct buttons (ISO, WB) and jogs like many compacts have now a days. Sony RX100 has many more direct buttons. Why NEX can’t have any and has this childish interface....

It is superzoom. A 28-200mm is a classic SuperZoom lens on Film SLRs. Nowdays we are used to see cameras with X10, X20 thats why X7 looks small but that was not the case some years ago.. Classic...

Hmm more dials than entry nikon's SLR or SLD.. That's good and useful for us (shows tha nikon's SLRs like 3100, 5100 need more buttons like direct WB, ISO etc).

Ok, these things happen all the time. Good for canon for admitting it. I think its not a big deal. ( Not like Nikon that had sensor issues whit their d7000! This was more important failure).

Maybe your "body" has the problem not your lences. What eos are you using. Have you tried to calibrate it (front, back focus)? Some eos (7d) have spacial menu for this..
Just maybe..
