Yes, "positive proction". Or more specifically, the term you're probably more familiar with, "eyepiece projection" -- using an eyepiece between the scope and the camera.
Agreed, the scope is fine....

Thanks Russ. I've been looking at Weasner's site since it was first started. I've never seen anything there that addresses this; of course, its not the best organized website.

You guessed it, I have a Meade ETX90. Whenever I've tried to do prime focus photography all I see are the internals of the telescope, whether attaching the scope directly to the body or to a...

Cargo pants! ... or do they pat you down? Egads.
I bet with the right inseam you could sneak the 75mm heh, and an E-PM2 in your sock!

That is exactly how I evaluate every photo: Would I want that on my living room wall?
The OP's photo? Not a chance. Even I have taken better photos ;)

Did you end up in the hospital after that second shot? What a look.
Nice. Really enjoyed these.

There are Voightlander lenses of f/0.95 at 17.5, 25 and 42.5mm. The 25mm is essentially your MFT equivalent of a FF "nifty fifty" 50mm f/1.8.
But what do I know? They're out of my price range.

Totally not my style, even so I appreciate the time taken to show me what you were thinking of. I'm more of the purist, with perhaps an unrealistic expectation of how much must be done with only...

Thanks. The weakest link in my photography skills is my understanding of how to post-process. Would you mind giving some points on how you might adjust picture?
-
Well two reasons, neither of the them all that convincing.
1) Because someone suggested it (wait for it... wait for it...)
2) And the suggestion was easy to obey because I'm very mindful of the...

Thank you... I knew I had forgotten something. Taken with a 20mm prime, my go-to lens, and one reason why I'm not usually shooting portraits. Here's w/ lens correction:

During an SP excursion, this little guy came closer than expected and I quickly shot this, and voila, a portrait. I'll chalk it up to luck, but I felt it worked very well, despite that I generally...

I'm going to assume you meant "insightful", hah.
That's a shame about your purchase. And now you'll see how green I am when it comes to photography: are you saying that if you still had the raw...

No pummeling, just honest reactions.
Overall, I have a difficult time discerning the point of your composition, partly because of how you've cropped some of the shots. As part of that, I cannot...

Thanks. Any thoughts on how this could've been executed better? Or maybe it just needs the right post-processing?
-
I totally see what you're saying, Ed. But it might be a tough job. Cutting out the Chase sign might leave the tree right in the middle, strangely bisecting the entire image.
-
Yep, the monochrome does work. I miss the color, but good call. It also gives more pop to the words, especially the writing on the wall to her left, almost floats above the image.

Are the landscape shots bracketed and post-processed as HDR?

What Would a Photographer Do?
I was at the California Academy of Sciences, taking photos from inside the rainforest biosphere. I live very close and am a member, so I'm regularly at the Academy,...

I love pretty much everything about this, from the composition to his expression. The colors are warm and inviting, and not too homogeneous. I look at this and feel as though there are so many...
